#writersofinstagram #writerslife #ameditingromance #amediting #writingcommunity #writes https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn4x9TGL7Xb/ My first set of word searches in line editing are for my problem prepositions. When I search for “of” and “in” I often find lines that need revising for length and clarity. Your problem prepositions may be different, so keep a list of your patterns for future edits. See my other reels for more line editing tips. #writersofinstagram #writing #writingtip #edits #amediting #editingtips #writerlife Today’s #FridayKiss prompt word is “Ideal”! Here’s a few lines from Timber (on sub) with my favorite side character, Marisa. I had a writer friend recently lose months of work when their laptop crashed. There, but for marrying an Uber-geek with definite opinions about version control, go I. This is a simple daily habit that saves my work in three locations and lets me roll back to previous edits when needed. #writersofinstagram #writing #writingcommunity #writingtipsandtricks #writingtips #writingadvice #write #amwriting #amediting #editingtips #amwritingromance Attention writing Instagram, anyone following the account @ that_writer_girl_kelly71, it is a fake account or has been hacked, and they are engaging in a phishing scheme via DM. If they contact you with this request, report and block. It is a common phishing attempt to try and open a new account or change the password on an existing one, and then get you to send them the verification link. A longer video outlining my entire line editing process. There’s no right way to edit! What works for me may not be what works for you, but hopefully this will give folks ideas to try. I’ll be breaking out each piece into short videos over the next month as I finish up UnCoupled and get it to my agent, so stay tuned! #writersofinstagram #writing #writingcommunity #amwriting #amwritingromance #editing #amediting #writingtips #writingtipsandtricks #editingtips Just finished chapter 8 edits for UnCoupled, and wanted to share a technique you may have heard of. Changing up the appearance of your words can trick your brain into processing them as new. This makes errors stand out as they would to a reader, giving you a chance to fix them.
